Summer is almost here, which means it's time to gear up for summer hockey! AFHC's summer program combines instructional sessions with weekly games to help athletes achieve the next level in their field hockey careers. The program is intended for players of all ability levels 6th grade and up. Mondays will be designated as training days while Thursdays are game days.
Athletes will be divided into two groups:
Incoming 6th-9th graders: For the first 2 weeks athletes in this group will participate in training sessions to learn the game and meet their teammates. They will then be split into teams for the last six weeks for a total of 8 training sessions and 6 games. Players are not required to attend every session. Each player will receive their own reversible pinny.
Incoming 10th-12th graders: Athletes in this group will participate in 6 training sessions and 8 games. Players will be split into four teams, competing against each team twice and finishing with a playoffs the last two weeks. Players are not required to attend every session. Each individual will receive their own team t-shirt for games, but should bring their own reversible practice pinny.
Note: Goalie specific coaching may or may not be available at every session, dependent on staff availability.

Mondays and Thursdays, June 3 - July 28th
Times:
All Levels 4:30pm-6:30pm
*June 17/20 will be 4:00-6:00pm
Athletes are expected to arrive and warmup 15 minute prior to the start of their session.
